First timers tonight. Excellent food. Excellent service. The pizza is phenomenal. Excellent fresh brewed sweet tea. And the bread pudding? To die for. Can't wait to go back!

We had the Traditional Neapolitan Pizza last night and it was by far the best pizza we have had in a long time from the Lancaster area. We love pizza and it was amazing! The sauce, crust, and toppings all very good. This will be our take out spot for pizza going forward. Thank you Alfonso for choosing Lancaster as your restaurant location. We have also dined in at the restaurant and the food was very good and experience was great. Stuffed mushrooms are a must!

We had a lovely experience here and actually met Alfonso as he verified our to go order (we are in too) was perfect. The food, even the salad, had perfect presentation, aroma and oh my! The flavors were extraordinary. We have started buying a pan of their lasagna and a dessert for our Christmas at home. It’s exceptional. The restaurant is very clean (including restrooms) and it was tastefully decorated for winter holidays.

EXCELLENT!!! Highly recommend if you're looking for a special dinning experience. The calamari, probably the best I've ever had. The bread plate, amazing. I looked to see if Alfonso offered a cookbook for his breads, wow! The sauces, holy smokes. My husband had the pork & fresh veggies, which he finished. I had the seafood pasta, excellent.

The food is phenomenal and there was a live pianist! Bridget was so hospitable and informative.

This is our absolute favorite restaurant in Lancaster. The food is always phenomenal, fresh, hot and served with a smile. The waitstaff are so friendly and accommodating. We have tried almost everything and never had anything remotely bad. The shrimp appetizer is absolutely delicious! Don’t miss out on this experience.

We visited Alfonso for the first time on Friday, November 14, and it was so exceptional that we returned the very next day on Saturday the 15th. We kicked things off with a glass of Sangiovese, which was excellent, and paired it perfectly with their crispy calamari—tender, flavorful, and not the least bit chewy. The small Italian house salad and the beet & goat cheese salad with citrus dressing were both spot-on in taste and portion size, while the garlic bread stood out with its distinctive cheese blend and deliciousness.

The entrees were generously portioned, leaving us with plenty of leftovers. On night one, the rigatoni Bolognese and chicken Parmigiana were absolute standouts—phenomenal flavors we’d order repeatedly and highly recommend to anyone. The homemade pasta and sauces were truly outstanding. The following evening, we enjoyed the fettuccine carbonara Alfonso and linguine Alfredo with grilled chicken, once again impressed by the rich sauces and fresh pasta.

We capped off the meal with a shareable cheesecake topped with berries—expertly made and the ideal sweet finish.

This has quickly become our go-to spot when staying at our cabins in the Lancaster area. We’ll be spreading the word to our guests and returning soon!

Stopped today and picked up a couple pieces of lasagna and dessert too. This is truly a gem! Absolutely, positively, unequivocally the finest most palatable Italian meal I have consumed in this area. I live in Logan with my wife and she too was impressed with your skills and definitely hinted that it would behoove me to return soon. Thank you, see you soon.

Independently owned and operated. Alfonso himself is a great guy. Food was great and the vibe was nice. Don’t need to be a part of the country club either. Go eat!

Have you ever been to a place that feels like home as soon as you enter? How about fine dining with staff who treat you as if you are family? Or better yet, how about food that you cannot believe looks so simple but tastes so complex and delicious? ALL of this is true at Alfonso's. I cannot recommend a specific dish because I have now had several after dining there a handful of times. Everything is delicious. Highly recommend!!!

If you are in or near Lancaster, OH looking for some authentic, made from scratch Italian cuisine in a beautiful event center this is a must stop. The ambiance is very warm and welcoming able to seat 2 to 200. The event center is on a beautiful golf course so the views from all directions are breath taking with seating outside as well. There is something here for everyone and the owner to staff take pride in the presentation on their dishes. The owners uses his very own organic tomato sauce in his recipes.

This is by far the best Italian food in our town. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, making us all want more. The service was top-notch and this is a go-to. I will be returning for sure.

Tried the new brunch menu and was very impressed! The Breakfast Bread Plate is amazing, as is the Calamari. Our entrees of beef lasagna, chicken linguine, and walleye were delicious.

If you haven't tried out this Italian gem. It's all farm to table! My brother in law introduced us to it. He knows the chef by way of a friend! We had a lovely evening filled with great food topped with fabulous desserts!

We made a reservation, but due to my son's game we were late. We called to let them know and they were very accommodating. They never rushed us and were so kind. The food was amazing. It was so fresh and had tons of flavor. Nobody left hungry. We will definitely be back.

Hands down the best Italian I have had south of Columbus! Cheesy breads is amazing! Pizza is to die for wow!

Located in the beautiful rolling hills In Lancaster, OH. Truly outstanding Italian menu prepared by a hard working culinary team. The Shrimp Provencal served on French bread crostini topped with fresh tomatoes, roasted artichoke hearts, fresh herbs and butter, was a generous portion that can be shared and enjoyed. Order the fresh baked Foccaio to enjoy with it. The Bianco pizza made with four types of cheese and topped with fresh tomato slices and fresh basil was fresh out of the oven and very flavorful. The pizza crust was tender and tasty. Mama's Meatballs (2) with house-made Marinara Sauce and choice of pasta was a large portion great to share. Meatballs were tender and the sauce was great. This is a treat to experience. If you are in the area, go and enjoy. Service was casual and very well done.

This is a wonderful place to go for a great, authentic Italian meal. The restaurant is located on a beautiful golf course. Inside it feels quaint and cozy. The food was fantastic. The stuffed mushrooms were out of this world! Everything was super fresh and flavorful. You must go if you like Italian.

We had a party of 7 and I began the dining experience with Calamari which was fresh and delicious then followed up with Walleye entree, again very fresh and extremely tasty. I elected for the truffle fries which were heavenly. We also had stuffed mushrooms, crabcakes and beet salad, all top botch in taste and seasoning. Overall dining experience was fantastic. Highly recommend for a very nice dining experience.

Just now found this restaurant. Have been wanting good Italian food in Lancaster and here it is! The decor on the bar side is very cozy... The calamari starter with the aioli and sweet pepper jam was very good. The calamari tasted fresh from the seaside. The walleye entree and the rigatoni bolognese were superb. Haven't had walleye that tasted that fresh since I caught some. The bolognese was particularly spot on. The risotto accompanying the walleye was on par with 5 star restaurants in Columbus. Finished with the tiramisu which was heavenly. The service was excellent. My wife and I were warmly greeted and welcomed like we had been there several times. Our waitress was there often enough to see if we needed anything but was not intrusive. They have won us over and we will be back.

This was our first time at Alfonso's. It was a Sunday and their brunch menu was amazing and an excellent price per person. All 3 courses were delicious, authentic Italian, great service and very relaxing atmosphere! Organic, farm fresh, and homemade definitely make a difference from almost all restaurants! We will definitely be back. Give it a try and you will definitely not be disappointed!

My wife and I recently stopped and had dinner at Alfonso's Italian Grille & Event Center. The owner and staff were very friendly, and they are accommodating to those with certain dietary restrictions/preferences. Excellent food and service! We will certainly be returning to this establishment. I highly recommend this place!
